Can the home rapid tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia, not the urine test but the tests that utilize swabs from the urethra, also detect oral presence of the bacteria through the use of throat swabs? In utilizing a swab of the urethra, epithelial cells are collected. I'm curious if epithelial cells from the back of the throat/tonsils couldn't be tested utilizing the same testing method. I've spent hours searching for answers among health sites and didn't come up with a definitive answer. Thanks in advance
