just an update to complete my thread. Actually got test results back today, alot earlier than i thought. Labs were quiet apparently. Anyway all clear, no STD dectected including HIV.
Still got the tingling feeling though, but the need to uriate more often has gone. Had a urine sample checked seperate from the GUM clinic for infection, i assume as i never said i was worried about STD, they dont check for it.
However they said i need another urine as there was signs of an infection starting or just ending. So looks like for me it was just a non sexual infection
thanks to everyone
I m getting full STD tests done. They are also testing for HIV. The gp is only testing for none STD infection. The STD tests are separate and performed by my local gum clinic
Hi
They'll probably delete the other.
You can get gonorrhea and NGU (non chlamydia) from oral sex.
Please know what they are testing you for at the clinic, don't just walk in there blindly.
You should also test for gential herpes to know your status on that. People often come on these forums saying, "doc said Im clean for everything". Well that's true of what he/she tested. Sometimes they don't test for herpes, because you didn't ask for that test.
Didn't know I had another thread running can't find one
You have another thread running with the same question.
Anyways, good that your symptoms are fading. It is possible it was due to anxiety.
NGU can be related to STD (Chlaymadia most common) or not. So, a person who does not engage in any sex can still get NGU through urinary tract infection etc.
i have had another urine sample sent away by my GP, and results of that will be back Friday.
The STD ones wont be back till next week.
The symtoms have now almost gone, the need to urinate has completely gone and the tingling is very slight now if at all, mainly when i think about it.
Is a NGU just a normal infection, a non STD if you like, that you can pick up anywhere?
Tingling in tip of penis after oral encouter can be due to infection or not (depends what you did after that).
It appears that you may have contracted NGU. The symptoms sometimes show up or sometimes dont. Having tested negative for gonorrhea and chlaymadia does not mean you dont have NGU.
NGU is tested by looking for presence of white blood cells in urine sample. Or the doctor will better suggest on how this is done.
