treatment failure??

back in late april i developed signs of a possable chlmaydia/gonnorhea infection. i was given and took the 3 day treatment of 500mg of azithromycin and 400mg dose of cefixime. all symptoms went away within a week but its two months later and i am having some symptoms again. i had a discharge the first time but now just slight irritation in my urethra. i havent had sex with anyone since the treatment but did make out with one girl once about a month ago. is it possable i could have been re infected that way or that i'm one of the small percentage of failure for these drugs? any help would be appreciated.

and it was 3 500mg pills of azithromycin. not just 500mg total.
