Lately, I have been having a weird pressure and sharp pain in my abdomen when urintating.  There is burning, but only after intercourse.  Intercourse is also sometimes painful with a sharp pressure-like pain in my lower abdomen. I am in a monogomous relationship with the only partner I've ever had. Is it possible I just have a bladder infection? If so, how do I treat it?

Based on both this question and the additional information in your follow-up comments, I think you have had 2 separate problems.  The sore throat, muscle aches, etc almost certainly were due to a viral upper respiratory infection; conceivably a strep throat (with the white spots), but since it's getting better, I wouldn't do anything about it.  It probably is unrealted to the other problem, which I'm pretty sure is...

A bacterial urinary tract infection (UTI), i.e. a bladder infection (medical term cystitis).  Almost every woman gets cystitis from time to time, and it's often triggered by sex--hence the older term "honeymoon cystitis" in women who have had a recent increase in sexual frequency.  It's not an STD; but sex can massage bacteria from the genital area into the urinary opening.

You need to see a health care provider right away, preferably today.  Delay risks infection ascending up the urinary tract to the kidneys, called pyelonephritis--which can be quite serious.  A health care provider will confirm the diagnosis with a urinalysis and will prescribe a short course of antibiotics, probably for 3 days.  In the meantime, drink lots of fluids; high volumes of dilute urine will reduce the pain.

Although I think you have a UTI, gonorrhea or chlamydia can cause similar symptoms.  When you see the health care provider, play it safe and ask to be tested for those infections as well.  Depending on a quick examination, s/he might want to a pelvic exam to make sure you don't have a fallopian tube infection (pelvic inflammatory disease, PID)--but if not, the gonorrhea and chlamydia tests can be done on a urine specimen.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

In addition, last week I woke up with a sore throat that quickly progressed to an almost incapacitating burn and aching shoulders and neck.  The unbearable pain lasted for a few days, then I started noticing white spots in my throat which within hours were covering the abnormally swollen and red length of my throat.  The swelling and white spots have gone away, but my throat still hurts.

holy cow, I keep thinking of other sypmtoms. Sorry about all the postings, but I really want to put everything out on the table so whoever reads this has a better idea of what's going on.
After intercourse that last two times, it has become painful and feels like I've completely dried up after only 5minutes. There has a been a small amount of blood in addition to the awful burning during urination.  I havent noticed any abnormal discharge and my boyfriend hasnt had any problems what-so-ever. That should be it.
