I was not tested for gonno a few weeks after exposure. Only have blood test for the below. No throat test:
Syphilis
HIV
Herpes Type I & II
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis C
Now I suppose even if I have the gonno infection, it will have cleared up by now right? (now is 6 months after the exposure). So there is no need to test gonno now?
Nope I wouldn't for syphilis. And gonno? You had oral sex only wasn't it? You were negative a few weeks after exposure, did they tested your throat? Normally in throat it clears much faster than in genitals. So nope I don't think you need to retest.
Do u think I should get myself tested for gonorrhea now since I am past 6 months after exposure? I dun have any symptoms. Or do u think I am most likely cleared of infection now?
no problem. I have had also guilt problems because of a so called high risk(better said, I thought it was a very high risk) a long time ago and caused me to have anxienty problems and I needed therapy for it eventually, so I decided to try to help out with my experience.
Just to be sure, if your not in a dedicated mono relationship try to always use protection to make sure the next exposure can't give you any anxienty problems.
Thank you for your replies. U have made me feel so much better
If you can'T remember I exclude canker. It would be 1cm or bigger. Open, painless(mostly) with hard border. In most cases appear in 3 to 6 weeks post exposture. Guilt is really sometimes terrible, I know what it can do.
Ah ok. Think only for oral sex. Gonnoroe. Syphilis low risk, especially when you haven't had a canker in yout mouth.
I was just guilty.i suddenly thought about the oral sex that I performed on a guy last year in July. I am a female. I went for testing at the 6th week after exposure. The doctor helped me select the testing package. The results came back all negative. Now 6 months after exposure, i am just wondering whether I need to get anymore testing done again. I dun think I have any symptoms.
A standard STD test can be done at 6 weeks, together with Syphilis and HIV. But Hepatitis B would only be conclusive at 12 weeks.
What has been your risk? because Hepatitis A and C are not STD, also if you are a hetero the chance of getting Syphilis, hepatitis B and HIV is also small. Especially if you only had oral sex the chance is very very small.
Why do you want to test on Herpes 1 and 2? The bloodtest are not reliable and a lot of people will never have an outbreak! Also herpes is a something biggest part of the people in the world have, so I wouldn't worry about it. Especially if you haven't had an outbreak 4 to 6 weeks post exposure.
