worried

hi everyone !
well this is my story a year a go i had unprotected sex with a guy ( big mistake ) after 6 weeks a had a really bad discharge so i when to get my std and hiv test done ! i came back clamythia positive and got treat for it that test was done on april , my pap was normal and everything else was good , but i had to go back to check my hiv status and the clamythia .... and everything was just fine thanks God .... the guy when and got tested to casue i called him to let him know and the only thing that came up was the clamythia ..... well now a year later a got this discharge is not smelly , no itching or burning none of that but its everyday and sometimes a lot .... i havent been with anyone else since this guy since im very afraid of getting anything can my discharge have anything to do with herpes ...... if that was the case would of come out a adnormal pap mear ??????
please give me some answers and going crazy over this

Hi there -

Please read the first thread on the list called "Please read before posting."  It explains that we all answer these questions on our own time, and do really well at answering questions in a timely manner, even if it might not be in the time frame you want.

That said, since you haven't had sex with anyone in a year, I'd guess this is yeast or bacterial vaginitis.  You should get checked by your doctor.

thank you very much for replying and im sorry about some how been  impatient ! i just been really worried about this casue today some minutes ago i noticed that i have this weird  patch in my neck you cant really tell but since a been so paranoid about all this i saw it ! its possible that i got herpes ???
i dont have fever , not breakout in my areas , no itching or burning and my last pap was normal !
sorry for asking so much im just very worried ??

You can test for herpes but if you had it you probably would have a break out and your neck has nothing to do with a STD.

thank you for your post ! i been really worried about this i been crying all morning cause of it and you have no idea how much you post has calm me down thank you !
but  going back to that yea i never had any breakouts in my privates !!
i have another question , if i got it form this guy i would of have a abnormal pap smear right ???
witch  i didnt i was normal ?
i was reading that if you have herpes it would show up in your pap smear casue of the changes in you cells is this true ?

No, herpes would not show on a pap test.  It can happen, but far more often than not, herpes wouldn't cause an abnormal pap smear.

You might be thinking of HPV, which is what causes warts and abnormal cell changes on your cervix.  Herpes is HSV - it gets confusing.

A pap smear only looks for abnormal cell changes on the cervix.  It doesn't look for stds or other infections like bv, yeast, etc.  You need separate tests for those.  A quick call to your doctor will tell you if you have had those tests done or not.
