I currently have a mouth ulcer, which was caused when i bit my lip. Is it still ok to perform oral sex or do i need to wait until it has cleared up???

I would wait for it to clear up. You don't want to infect it or keep aggravating it. Unless you have a history of cold sores or confirmed HSV1, this ulcer will not spread to your partner but again, it will go away faster if you don't do things to irritate the ulcer.
