A poem describing my partial seizures

[bold]Frozen In Time[/bold]

I cannot speak, I cannot move
I can only watch and listen
While others 'round me frantically
afraid the worst to me has happened

Please! Please, I try to scream
I'm here don't panic so.
I might appear absent here,
just look in my eyes you'll know.

I'm locked between then and now,
time moves on around me.
While I can see and I can hear,
all that's going on.

I can't react so all can see,
I'm trapped within a moment.
Soon I know I'll again be free,
to move about and react.

But for now, I have to wait
Speechless and unmoving.
Frozen here for now I am,
no way to communicate.

While everything around me moves,
I lay appearing unresponsive.
Frozen as if in fear, but soon
I'm back as if nothing ever happened.

Frozen In Time a scary thing,
For all who have been through it.
Life around you continues to move along,
while you're trapped for just a moment.

By all means share!  That's why I posted it.  Thank you for the compliment also!  I wanted to give people a look inside the victim of the seizure, so that they could see from our eyes.  So that perhaps the next time they witness one they won't panic quite so much.

I have a good friend who has seizures and she describes them as you have in your poem.  Do you mind if I share your poem with her?  Beautifully put.  Hugs, Charley

God, Suzie, that sounds awful. Frozen inTime. Do you feel cold when this happens?
