Hi FairyTree,
I take a fairly low dose of Gabapentin, 300mg 1x at night. I think this medication helps with my chronic pain and I now rarely get headaches. When I go off of it, I hurt like crazy. All the joint pain comes back with a vengeance. The last time I missed a couple of doses, I hurt so much that I kept having to find a place to sit down while the pharmacist filled the order. I asked the pharmacist if there could be something of a withdrawal problem with the med, other than increased risk of seizures. He said that he didn't think my pain was a withdrawal symptom, more likely that I was experiencing the pain the med had been blocking. Not sure what I believe. I haven't noticed any mood swings and I rarely miss a dose because I just don't want to go through that if I can help it. I still hurt quite a bit and have considered asking the doc to increase the dosage.
Are you experiencing these side effects when you miss a dose? Is the pain worse that you would go through if you weren't on the med?
Best of all to you,

Hello,
Welcome. I am sorry but I am not on any meds. I can not share your experience but hopefully someone will come around with some insight? Are you diagnosed with anything?
