Just Sharing- New TV Medical Show
Hey Everyone,
I was watching the Discovery Health Channel (Mystery Diagnosis) last night and they have a new show coming out soon. "Disease Detectives" It's about individuals who have been undiagnosed by other doctors (ahem, such as neuros and such) with all sorts of different symptoms, and specialists diagnosing them (No it's not HOUSE MD - hehehehehe but knd of I guess)...Sounded interesting and thought I would share..Not sure if you all get this channel where you are though..Theresa I think you mentioned you may get this one...

I am a science channel junkie! I am hooked on Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible. It is hosted by Dr. Michio Kaku .He basically takes things from sci- fi flms and finds ways to construct them. Like light sabers,death stars and time machines.

Nope, not gonna do it! Ask your husband why guy's don't like House. As one of the few males in this group, I don't want to allienate myself here.
My wife doesn't like Megastructures, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Turns out my daughter's don't like it either....is it just women who don't like it??? Hmm lol
I guess our brains are wired differently, although for most of us in here our brain wiring is all screwed up.... I hope I don't start watching House...what would the guys say??

I have been trying to figure out how to reach some of the doctors from that show!! LOL.....At least the ones that figure out those illnesses act like they have more than half of a brain!! LOL

I got the date for that new show, February 28th at 8 p.m. (whew..I was worried it was on Monday night and would conflict with HOUSE MD) LOL....just kidding...Charley good idea....Maybe we CAN ALL go on it......that would be our answers because then they would HAVE to figure it all out...
Monsters Inside Us .....IS not my favorite...Dr. G is cool though......man is she smart..but I would not want to have to see her for a diagnosis...

I did see one where a lady had sjogrens syndrome and went undiagnosed for almost 50 years.... She was not as happy as most of the folks on there...LOL

I've seen some of the Mystery Diagnosis shows on cable a few years back. What they appear to edit out is the relentless anguish and frustration of patients and their families and the sheer boneheaded deafness of the physicians over many years.
Everyone ends up smiling in the closing sequences and the doctors come out like heroes.
We can live in hope though...;-)

I saw that too! I watch Mystery Diagnosis faithfully hoping that one day I see someone like me! I hope this show is based like MD is I love that show!

When did it say it would start. I searched ahead 2 weeks on the program guide and cant find it. It's channel 256 on AT&T Uverse where I am.
What is it with men and House? My husband doesnt like it either. MIke enlighten us please...LOL

Sounds interesting. Mystery Diagnosis is nothing like House (thankfuly!!!)
If Disease Dx is built on the same format as Mystery Dx it should be good.
