Sorry to hear you have shingles. You must have a lot of nerve pain, huh? From what I know of shingles it is extremely painful for most people.
My husband had it a few years ago when he was like 26 or so and he actually ended up going to urgent care. That was the first and only time my husband went to the doctor except for when he was little, so you know it must've been painful.
Take care and hope you aren't in too much pain! Do you have any kind of follow up with the doc? Maybe to talk about the other things you've been going through? They should realize by you telling them you didn't realize it was shingles due to all the nerve pain you have that something isn't right!
Love and hugs!!!

I figured. Take care of you. Get that hubby to give you a foot massage. :)
Maria,
I'm so sorry you've been going thru this shingle nightmare on top of pain from teeth surgery and MS flares and all the other etc.
My Mom-in-love has had shingles several times and said very painful and currently a friend at church has a second round of them in 5 mths and she has been on medicine to help w/pain but said it still did not totally help.
Anyhow, I want you to know I will be praying for you as well as for your hubby's healthneeds and I sure do miss you around here.,
You have got to get better ASAP. God speed on your healing.:)
You need TLC so I'm sending you love filled hugs and wishes for a feel good and painfree day(days).
Hugs and blessings,
Tammy:)

So glad you went to the Dr. Shingles are awful - I have them as well but they affect my Right arm usually, When I get stressed and hmmmm when am i NOT stressed they flare up. While i was on vacation I had some weird rash on my back - I think that was a shingles flare too - cause while vacation itself was relaxing getting there was somewhat stressful soooo probably what it was.
You should have extra TLC at home! Especially with all you have been dealing with - your teeth, shingles not to mention all the other stuff!
Take care of yourself and feel better
Love and hugs
Tracy
Saw doctor this morning, as rash annoying, and like sidesteps said looked like eczema.
Anyway she was amazed i hadnt been before. Isnt it painful she said well I said no more then the rest of my stupid nerve pain lol. Anyway she thinks I have had it since last week and the rash was sunday so its too late for anti virals.
I told her when she asked me why didnt i come before that what is the point i have so much nerve pain i just think it belongs to that lol.
We agreed it was probably kicked off by my teeth extractions and my auto immune being really down at the moment.
I must say though there is so much misconception to Shingles. Everyone thinks i can give them shingles now lol. No I cant but if you havent had chicken pox i could give you that IF you get close enough.
So I can now feel as though i should have some extra TLC at home lol as i have been a brave soldier and had Shingles all that time lol.
It would explain the weird headache i had over the weekend.
xx
Dearest Maria, I am so sorry you are feeling so poopy. If I were closer I would come and try to help you. You have been through so much and I totally understand your frustration. As far as shingles goes....it is usually unilateral and can affect any group of nerves. Most get it on the torso or face. I had it on my left leg. The rash came out on my foot up to my knee but the PAIN was in my hip and butt. If it is shingles the sooner you get an antiviral the better. You can also take L-lysine and cut down on arginine foods like nuts and chocolate. It takes awhile to run its course.
I hope you will get it checked out and start to feel better soon.
Love and hugs,
Georgia
Does the rash look like eczema? If so, that is likely shingles. It will make you feel very crummy.
My mom had it in a few places and thought it was eczema, she felt crummy for quite awhile then went to the doctor and found out it was shingles.
My daughter has an unusual weakness for that virus so she has had shingles with her varicella vacination. It doesn't always blister, just looks like a patch of eczema.
My MS Hug feels like pressure and tightness. I even thought I had a tumor in my upper abdomen at the worst. It didn't tingle or itch. I don't think that is common but you could have tingling, itching and pressure with parasthesia.
The rash is what sets that differently. It sounds like shingles to me which could mean you are also flared Maria. Please take care of yourself.
Oh, hang in there Maria! Is it MS flaring up? I dont know about shingles, but I have heard they are very painful, and do involve a rash... Hope it gets better soon whatever it is!
Hugs!!
