Weird Daze Feeling and Vision Problems 24/7 (No Diagnoses) :( :( :(

I have seen several doctors including both a Ophthalmologist and Neuro-Ophthalmologist, but they're answers were it is some kind of migraine and that I shouldn't be worried about it. I am though, especially since my vision keeps getting worse day by day and I do have severe Myopia. Without my glasses on, I can't even see a person's face who is standing right next to me. I also see bright flashes of light in front of my eyes at times and I have told the doctors about it. I asked them about a Retina Detachment but they don't seem to think it is. I have had a ERG done and it has shown abnormalities, but no one seems to know where these abnormalities are coming from. :(

I have kaleidoscope vision accompanied by a horrible daze like feeling 24/7. I see the weird colors in front of my vision worse in dark areas and with my eyes closed. My eyes have also been very itchy and they continuously water or puss many times during the day and I have to keep cleaning my glasses off.

If anyone might know what I am going through, any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank You Sooo Much for your time and Consideration, I greatly appreciate it!!!! :)

Thank You both sooo much for your response, I greatly appreciate it!!! :) :) :)

I really don't get any migraine. I mean I get they very infrequently, but when I do get them they are "killer". Sometimes they are the Ophthalmic Migraines, but what I see 24/7 is totally different. I have tried migraine medication for a while and it provided no relief, sigh...... :( So I really don't think it is one.

I did have a 13mm Chiari Malformation in which I had surgery to cure in 2007. I have also been having really bad joint pain. I don't know if the vision problem is linked to one or more of my other problems or not, but I'm really worried.

I think my diagnoses of Fibro is wrong and worry that I might have MS or Rheumatoid Arthritis. I'm only 18 years-old though so I'm not 100% sure if I could have that. I'm getting afraid to talk to the doctors, as all of them seem to call me just plain crazy and delusional. :( :( :(

The symptoms that I'm am experiencing sound like HPPD or Hallucinogen persisting perception disorder with Visual Noise/Snow, but I have never did any drugs before. I really don't know, but there might be something out there with symptoms similar to this, but I'm really worried that I might have some rare disease or something. :(

I agree that it is awful for doctors to just leave people like this and it should be unlawful for them to just give a "Stress" or other kind of presumed illness before they really know what is causing it. It makes me really mad too, that they can just up and do that.

Thanks sooo much again, I greatly appreciate it!!! :) :) :)

Hi alice this is ERG http://www.e-advisor.us/ERG/index.php

Please_Help950. Having an ERG test with abnormalities must be investigated what is he point of having the test otherwise.

The migraine they are talking about is Ophthalmic Migraine.

Also this is a great site about this and even describes the Kaleidescope effect.

http://www.richmondeye.com/eyehealth_floater.asp,

The migraine can be secondary to what is wrong with your eyes anyway if it is migraine, but you must push for answers as you dont have tests with abnormalities if there is no reason.

It makes me so mad they can just leave people like this.

Welcome.

Sorry you are having such a rough time. Visual problems are terrifying.

Some thoughts...

First, forgive my ignorance but what is an ERG test? And, if this is abnormal you must  push for answers, if you get answers which are not plausible you must push more. If you are being fobbed off go to another neurologist.

Many of us have had to go to 3,4 and even five neuros to get answers. It is hard and it should not fall to us to get answers but it does.

IF none are forthcoming get your medical records as it suggests in the Limbo Toolkit.

Migraine is blamed for many things. Neurologicall symptoms which accompany migraine go away when the migraine resolves, does this help? When the neuro told me my problem  was migraine I researched migraine and nothing added up. This was my starting point.

Limbo is so very difficult because patients are put in the position of having to figure medical things out when most of us are not medical people!

Knowledge is power, that is a good thing to  remember.

Sorry I cannot be of more help but I await your reply to find out what that test  is lol

Take care
