can sarcoidosis go away.
my friend went for a follow up at the chest clinic, and they have told him, he his not showing any signs of sarcoidosis.
Even though they have previously diagnosed him with it in 2008.

Also what bloodtests should he have done to confirm if it is active.

Many thanks
Nicola

There are a few levels they can check to determine whether the Sarc is active.  The ACE levels are generally the best indicator, but this is not at all a guarantee.  Sarc never goes away, but it can go into remission.  If he isn't having any symptoms now... congratulations!  However, he'll still need to get checked periodically to make sure it doesn't flare up.  You can be symptom free one month and riddled with granulomas the next, so make sure he keeps up on his appointments.

Good luck!
