14 days after unprotected insertive vaginal / symptoms

14 days ago I had unprotected vaginal sex with a girl I later found out to be an escort in Miami Florida.. We went on a date and she told me she did adult movies but didn't mention the escort part. Either way, on day 10 after the single night exposure I got a swollen tonsil on one side and it had mild/moderate pain. This lasted 4 days until yesterday when i started to get some body aches and the low grade fever. (99.9)  Today when I woke up the sore throat had moved to the other side and now only my left tonsil is hurting! (only one side now)  I don't have a rash and I have not had diarrhea or sickness. Just feel run down and tired... and sore throat with mild fever. (no chills) .  Ever since I found out she was an escort I have been having bad anxiety and not sleeping well....

I am circumsised and do not have any open wounds or sores on my penis....  I'm a 28yr old white male with no history of IDU or anal sex.....

I have read that this is all LOW risk exposure but I can't help but think the worst.   Can someone please advise me with some comfort and or advice. I am extremely scared.

There's nothing wrong with going to your doctor and requesting testing for STIs.

I think you must just be run down from the stress of what you are worrieing about and really nothing to do with STDs or anything like that.  If she was doing adult films you are probably pretty safe (they are quite attentive to that kind of thing, since it represents a serious work hazard) - I would write it off as a learning experience.  Relax and get better - it's probably just a mild flu or something not serious.
