Bad Pains & Brown Discharge

Here lately I have been having VERY BAD cramping pains, almost unbareable! It went away for just a day or 2 but then today it started again and then just now I went to the bathroom and had a pretty large amount of brown discharge and I'm not supposed to start my period for another week. I didn't know if I might be pregnant or what because of the cramping and I have been randomly tired lately and other things and I didn't know if the brown discharge and cramping was a sign of pregnacy or if it could possibly be something else. Please Help Me! :)

If you are having mood swings, painful cramps, bloating, or just feeling miserable (lol) and you are close to your menstral period cycle, I could definately be it. Spotting is a sign also. Midol will help relieve most of the discomfort....you're going to be just fine...hugs, Judy

Hi, it could be anything from your menstral period coming (painful cramps, bloating, lower back or  front pain, discharge,, headache, nausia, vomiting. It can also be either a urinary track or yeast infection, which are common in women. It can also be endometriosis or fibroid cyst. All we can do here is give possibilities, but I recommend that you contact a doctor or your gyne if you have one and speak specifically to him or her. Tell him/her of your symptoms and he/she will be the best person to advice, diagnose properly and treat any infection if that is the case. I would also abstain from sexual intercouse until you have spoken personally with a gyne, because if it is an infection, it can be transmitted. Antibotics and penicillin work wonders, so call today and have peace of mind and possible treatment. Good Luck, Judy

I asked a friends mom who is a nurse and she didn't say anything about it being an STD, and I looked it up and the signs that I looked up are nothing I had, like burning or frequent urination, a yellowish vaginal discharge, redness and swelling of the genitals, and a burning or itching of the vaginal area. I don't have anything like that. But thanks for your info anyways. :)

Yes, I have a boyfriend and we had sex the night before it happened. It only went on for a couple hours that day but hasn't done it since, the discharge I mean. I still have the pains really bad every once in a while.

It could be an STD. I would go get checked. Brown discharge and cramping is usually a sign of an STD called Gonorrhea.

Have you had any sexual intercourse in a while?

A little discharge maybe normal.  The color and pain make it a little bit different.  I would advise you to hit a provider for more answers and treatment if any is needed.
