Bleeding

a week ago, I tried to have sex with my boyfriend, he put the tip in, then I started to bleed, after a couple hours I was fine. 3 days later, I put a tampon in because I realized that there was still blood inside of me, I leaked through the tanpon. Yesterday, I woke up in the middle of the night and I bled through my pants, it happened for about 4 hours, and then today, I bled completely through again.. What is the cause of this? I don't understand what is going on and I'm scared..

If you notice anything unusual going on with your body and it scares you, you should call your doctors office for an appointment & advice right away.

If you were a virgin, before you had sex a week ago, the bleeding could be due to your hymen being 'broken' ~ which is normal for many women.  After having sex for the 1st time, bleeding can last from up to 3 - 5 days in some women.  If you weren't a virgin before you had sex, there could be a few reasons why you are bleeding; a tear in the vaginal tissue, an irregular period, or an irritation within the vagina that took place?  The only person who can properly diagnose you, would be a doctor or gynecologist.
