Could I be pregnant?

by Distressed_soul, Nov 02, 2009 09:43PM
Me and my bf had sex for the first time unprotected and unplanned on Oct. 31, however, it was experimental, and did not last as long as ACTUAL sex. He always pulled out before he came, but I am worried about pre-***. I have heard that pre-*** can contain sperm which can get you pregnant. Neither of us are sure if there was any or not. There was foreplay before we decided to try it, and he did ***, but he cleaned himself off before we tried. Again on the first of Nov., we did it again, but this time, it lasted longer. It was unprotected as well. Today, this morning, we actually had sex, but he used a condom and pulled out, so I am not as worried, but I AM worried about the two previous days. I know it is too early to tell if I am pregnant and I have scheduled a doctor's appointment with a gyno and to get birth control, but I have also been bloating, which I heard was an early sign of pregnancy, but my period is also close, and I usually bloat before my period, but I'm unsure if it is because of pregnancy or my period. Please help, no one seems to be answering my other post, and I'm scared.

You have NOTHING to worry about. The bloating means you are either eating too much salt which causes you to retain water or it is because you are about to start your period. It would be WAY too early for you to be bloating if you are pregnant. For the average woman signs of pregnancy won't come for a while. Bloating can also be caused by stressed. And as a warning, the more you stress out about being pregnant, the more your period will be postponed because of stress, which will make you think that you are pregnant. Yes, you can get pregnant from pre-ejaculation, but according to all the doctors I have talked to it's not usual and I haven't heard anyone getting pregnant because of pre-ejaculation. Don't worry, and RELAX. You will be fine. Plus, if you do get pregnant it is NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!! You always have options :) Just use a condom whenever you can. Cheers!

The chances that you are pregnant are pretty small, but not impossible.  While I have heard that there can be sperm in pre-come, I am sceptical; I suspect it is a story used to discourage people from using withdrawal as a method of contraception, because guys can't always be trusted to withdraw in time in the heat of the moment!  Or they may come sooner than expected.  All I can report is my own experience, which is that my wife and I used withdrawal successfully for about a year - and we are both very fertile, she's always got prenant right away whenever we haven't been using any protection.

But please get some sort of contraception in place a.s.a.p. before you risk this happening again...

yes you can get pregnant. there are LOTS of women who have gotten pregnant from pre ejaculatory fluid. i have 4 friends who did. the pull out method is NOT b/c. it's like playing russian roulette eventually you will loose. some get pregnant the first time and others don't. if your period is late take an hpt. if not i HIGHLY suggest getting on some form of b/c AND use condoms.

I have to agree with most here, except the one that says "you have nothing to worry about".  You do, but it is minimal.  You could always purchase a Plan B pill, but it needs to be used within 72 hours of unprotected sex, and it is also expensive - $55 per pill.  It is available behind the pharmacy counter and you have to ask for it.

Hope this helped, and please use protection of some form, and there won't be as much to worry about other than how good the sex was.
