Do I need a HIV test?

I am young, active (tested HIV negative few months back for professional reasons) and do not have any sexual diseases so far. I had sex for the first time with a prostitute 2 days back. I sucked her nipples with my mouth and she did the same to mine. She put a condom on my penis before she sucked it. We had sex after that. I have no idea about the brand name of that condom or its type, but it was in the right place (I am fairly sure that it is a new one) and the fluids were wiped out safely by her. She did not allow me to kiss her on the mouth or use my fingers on her vagina.  I want to know whether i should test for HIV virus and other associated disease. Though, I sound very coherent I am very much scared. Kindly advice me what to do now and what not to do in future activities. What are the other diseases that i should check for apart from HIV? I don't even know the names. Thank you in anticipation. (I read a bit about the window period on HIV, when should i take the HIV test?)

Sorry if it came across judgemental!  I was just pointing out that he engaged in risky behavior and now is freaked out about it.  The whole process of think before you do...  Most men, if I am to understand correctly, that engage in this type of behavior do not concern themselves with the worry of catching something.  Also, horny males can get a lot of satisfaction from masturbation and a porn flick versus the risks of catching deadly diseases.  Also men can also find a good mate to settle down with and have safe sex with a partner free from STD's!  There are a lot of good people out there looking for each other and when they find one another it is a perfect match!  :0)

about the hiv test sometimes it doesn't show up for up to six months.    so i would recomend the test at three months and six months.   but if you used the condomn correctly your chances for stds are relatively low all things considering.    i would recomend getting tested and the fact that you had to get an std test because of your profession makes me wonder what your profession is?    this sounds like risky behavior on your part so i would entertain the thought that you may have a sex addiction.    i agree with the above in that having sex with a hooker is risky behavior.    how ever i do not agree with her judging you, we all know why you did it, your a horny male which all men are guilty of being.    just watch out for your self

I'm sorry, but I am trying to comprehend why in the world you would screw a prostitute and then freak out about contacting an STD from her.  Did you not think first?  Why did you not check the condom, was it not yours? You sound very young and un-educated in the world of STD's and statistics.  That is ok, I will help answer questions you have.  I am a social worker and tend to find myself researching tid bits of this and that.  You can goggle the CDC (Center for Disease control) and get a ton of information on the subject.  Anyhow, this day in age, unless it is a legal prostitution ring like in Las Vegas where the girls are board certified clean, you run a very high risk at catching STD's from a hooker.  I simply do not understand hiring a woman to have sex with.  What happened to good old masturbation and a good porn flick??  Most of the fellows I have talked to about this subject would rather masturbate than run the risk of catching something serious.  BTW, it takes three months for HIV to show up in the body.  I would recommend getting checked for any STD's that show up sooner and then get and HIV test in three months.   The CDC site can help you, or you can contact your local health department.  I think a lot of them show up between 2 weeks and a month.  Also, please take care of your health and use self satisfaction from now on until you settle down with a nice gal.  Also, before I engage in any sexual activity with a partner, I require that individual to go to the clinic with me for STD testing or no sex.  Well, the last one I did that with is now my future husband.  I have had several fellows in the past deny going and well...we did not last.  I know this one is a keeper.  Just a tip for you in your future relatioships.  Good luck.

Hopefully someone with more experience with respond to your post. But I would recommend seeking out an STD clinic. They specialize in these situations and will be able to give you the best advice as to what you need to do. They're generally quite approachable. Good luck.
