First Time Anal Pain?

Today, me and my g/f tried anal for the first time. We used lube, and it felt incredible to me, but she said that I actually "poked" an internal organ and she was in pain for about a half hour. I don't think she'll consider trying it again, but what happened? What was I hitting? Because I did feel something, but I thought nothing of it at the time.
