First time unprotected sex

The other week, me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex for the first time - she had never done this before, and neither had I. My question is that is it possible to get an STD if it's both your first time having unprotected sex ever? She's on the pill, and this was also a one off. But any information would be of great help if I may be at risk of an STD/STI. Thanks.

Thank you both :) I was just curious! And like I said, this was a one off 'heat of the moment' kind of thing, and we plan to use protection from now on :)

i agree with anniebrook, has long has you and your partner are clean and havent had any sexual activity with any other person, then there shouldnt be no worries, i recommend to use protection anyways. its always to be on the safe side.

You won't get an STD from a clean partner.

I'm just wondering because it was our first time without condoms. As far as I'm aware, she hasn't had an STD before and doesn't have one. So essentially we are both 'clean' I guess you could say and this was our first time without use of condoms.

Hi:-) STD's can be transmitted only if one person has something and transfers it to another. Now my question to you is, do you have any symptoms of a STD after you had sex with her or are you just wondering because it was your first time? BTW I wouldn't recommend having a girlfriend that you may think has an STD let alone have sex (unprotected sex) with that said girlfriend. Just my opinion.
