Frustrated

I was on the patch for 2 months before i met my current boyfriend. While i was on it before him, i didn't have sex with anyone. I noticed that I went to have sex, I just wasn't getting wet. of course, we improvised and got lube, but its so inconvenient to have to find it right when we're at a great point. I thought it might be the patch since i had heard that some birth controls can have that effect on some women. so after 8 months of being on the patch, i switched back to the pill which i had been on in the past and never had any problems in that area. its been 2 months that i've been on the pill and I'm still not getting wet. Im almost 23 years old and feel like I'm too young to be having the drying up issue. Its not like im not turned on either. he turns me on just looking at him and i still get in the mood for sex every day, i just can't seem to produce any natural lubrication. He doesn't seem bothered by it because we've gotten into the habit of me giving him a short ** before intercourse so its already lubed by my spit. and during the sex, i seem to have enough fluids to keep it going. why is this happening to me? I've never had this problem before and its extremely frustrating.

Talk this over with your gyno. Theres a lot of birth control forms that can cause this unfortunate side effect. Discuss this with the doctor and he/she will probably suggest you try a different pill from the one you're on.

also, don't get caught up in the self-fulfilling prophecy of it where you expect not to get wet everytime so it has to happen no matter what you do. Talk with the doctor and they'll get it straightened out for you. This happened to one of my ex girlfriends and they just switched her pill and she was good to go in a few weeks.
