by 99saleen, Jan 11, 2009 12:32AM
Hiii... Im 23 years old, and I've though about getting circumcised... I need some advise to this. Does it hurt? Is there any disadvantages of not being circumcised, and what are the advantages of being circumcised?? I mean i've heard that being circumcised penetration is alot better, as well as the oral.. I have great sex eventhough im not circumcised, and my girlfriend doesnt' mind if im circum or not, but if getting circumcised will make my sex life ALOT better then Im willing to do it. Any advise to this?? Your advises are very much appreciated!!!!!

There is a lot of disagreement over the issue of circumcision. There are many people on both sides of the argument that claim that one is better than the other. Those opposed to circumcision say that it is "unnatural" and that removing the foreskin causes the glans (head) to be less sensitive, therefore decreasing the pleasure. Supposedly it's caused by years of having the glans rub directly against your clothes and eventually it "toughens up" similar to the way you develop callouses on your hands. They also say that the movement of the foreskin over the glans during sex (oral or vaginal) increases the sensations and pleasure.

Those who support circumcision claim that it is healthier. There is an increased chance of penile cancer in guys who are not circumcised (although it's fairly rare). Recent studies claim that the incidence of HIV transmission is increased in guys who aren't circumcised because the virus can become trapped under the foreskin and remain there for some time. Finally, they say that circumcised guys can "perform" longer due to the slight decrease in sensitivity.

The problem is, no one can really verify the sensitivity claim on either side of the argument. Those of us who wre circumcised in infancy have no way of telling whether the sensitivity decreased over the years. Guys who are circumcised as adults are not "toughened up" and have no way of knowing the difference either.

The bottom line is, unless you have a condition where you cannot fully retract the foreskin (called phimosis) there's really no reason for it. As long as your partner has no preference and you're satisfied the way you are - why bother?

Circumcision doesn't decrease sensibility. I know the before and the after, because I was circumcised at 19,5 years old, and, till today, on my 58 years old, I have sex everyday. It is a very simple surgery, with local anesthesia. You don't feel any pain. Foreskin has only three purposes : irritate the glans, causing several types of ballanites ( I suffered  that from my 12 y.o. till my circ. at 19,5 y.o. ; bad odor ( even you clean it every day ); turn you into a premature ejaculator. Sex without foreskin is much, much better.
Enter www.circlist.com, the best world site about circumcision; there you will have all information you need. And please, do a "low & tight" circumcision, the best type, taking off all internal skin and suturing the external skin just behind the glans.
Be happy.

you now what, cut or uncut doesn't matter actually. those people who are cut specially in the Philippines like myself are just because mainly of our culture. the good thing about circumcise is that you felt like you are clean and less odor but everything will just fall down to hygiene, so if your hygienic enough doesn't matter if your cut or not.
