If your ex changes sex partners, can this cause a fish smell if you sleep with him?

24 hours after sex with my recently ex partner , or father of unborn child, i smell like fish downstairs. I have gotten many tests done and its not an infection, bv, or anything. Why is it that I only smell after sleeping with him. I have not sleep with anyone else since the break up, so my ph should still be familiar to his? Could this happen if he changes partners?

Im not sure? Good question......

This smell thing has only started since after the break up. I didnt sleep with him for 2 1/2 months, and since sleeping with him all of a sudden i stink? I think maybe 8 months pregnant may have something to do with it, but i never have ever smelt like this.....not ever.

He has drank alcohol often for many years, but i have a sneaking suspicious that he may be using drugs since the break up, and move out. Could something like that do this?

Hi Islander, do you think this could do with his drinking, have you always had the problem or is since you become pregnant, as this could be a mix of the two things, perhaps a hormon thing and alcohol.
Its me just thinking.

Hello,

Thanks for the replies.

I am completely shaven. I dont have a yeast infection, bacterial vag, or any STD, or STI. Doctors have tested for everything.

I am sleeping with the ex, as he is the father of my 3 children, and my current unborn child. i guess you could say we are seperated. Until he stops drinking, i wont live with him again.

But yes, only after having sex with him, do I smell like this. And its taking anywhere from 2-5 days to go away. Yuk, i feel nasty! And im 8 months pregnant.

Hi Islander, Some things to try, if your shaven or trim your pubic hair, then try that, the hair holds moisture, hence the it can hold an infection, and it could be just a yeast infection, so just try some yogurt, its a simple thing to use and you can get it anywere, but also try just wearing cotton knickers with cotton gussets, keep away from wearing jeans and trousers.
Just some simple things to try.
Good Luck

Islander, who you sleep with is up to you.

It might happen from a reaction to him, but I wouldn't take that as proof that it's because he changed partners.  If the sex is unprotected, you are possibly smelling something that comes from his semen; maybe he has had a change in his health or his body chemistry.

Just curious, why are you sleeping with your ex?
