Hi when i have sex with my partner about a day later i get burning pain and also get a Urine Infection have been to the doctors about six times and just keep being given tablets for a urine infections .The doctor advised me to have some std checks they have all come bk clear but my partners penis after sex goes red underneath and is very dry skin on it .pls can you help do not know wht is wrong my partner seems to be going off  sex now he says it hurts .also the doctor has said that i need to take a tablet after sex and go to toilet as well  many thanks .

Thank you very much for your advice i have had Vaginitis twice since i had a new coil fitted so may be it just has not gone .I will go back to the Doctors though i will get some ky jelly and see if that helps will try any thing as this is really getting me down thank you for yur help will let you know how i get on Donna .

This can be due to dry vagina causing chafed skin or due to vaginitis. The most common cause of dryness of vagina is inadequate foreplay. Changes in the hormone levels can also cause dryness of vagina. Other causes are stress and anxiety, alcohol and drugs, relationship issues and medicines like blood pressure medications, antihistamines and antidepressants.

You should ask your partner to indulge in plenty of foreplay or use a water based lubricant like KY jelly. If symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a gynaecologist.
