Please Help

by J_star, May 18, 2009 07:14AM
Hi, I am a 23 year old straight female.
I have dated men and have engaged in a small amount of foreplay, always receiving, but have never had sex with anyone and am saving myself until I am married/meet the right person.I sometimes feel like doing anything sexual is dirty and therefore don't tend to engage in much sexual activity even when I am in a relationship.
My confusion comes because I mastrubate about 3 to 4 times a day and I always enjoy it at the time but as soon as it's over I feel guilty and wish I hadn't done it. I am a straight female and have never had any desire to date another women, but when I am mastrubating I find it more stimulating to look at pictures of women and often fantasise whilst doing it. I like to mastrubate but I am confused and would like your advice on either how to stop or else what to do.

Thank you x

Hi,

What you are doing is perfectly normal. I am a straight women and in a great relationship with my boyfriend, but i still find women attractive, it happens, it doesnt mean to say you are gay/bisexual and even if you were, theres nothing wrong with that. Everyone has fantasies. i think its part of human nature to seek out pleasure and where better to go than the imagination?

Masturbation isnt wrong either. its good because you are more aware of your body and what feels good and what doesnt. so when you meet that special someone and take things to the next level then you can make that experience a lot more pleasurable and special because you can guide your partner (men like that)

Also, i think its good to know 'down there' because if theres any changes eg. any lumps, swelling, or sensation changes or pain, then you will be aware of that and get it sorted etc.

Just know that what you do isnt wrong, at the end of the day it is your body, your choices and if you enjoy doing something then do it. nothing is wrong unless you hurt someone, and your not :)

Hope that helps, even a little bit. and good luck in finding your soul mate..they are out there somewhere :)
