Please help

Question, when I was young I was taken by my parents to see a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist made me very uncomfortable as a child. I was also given a physical exam in which he gently proded by testicles with pins. Now this may be a normal medical procedure but as a kid I felt ashamed and embarrassed, I really disliked this man, and think it may have been sexual assault disguisedas a medical procedure. I was probably 13 years old at the time but it is pretty odd when you are trying to avoid conversations involving sex with perhaps in his 50's. I ended leaving therapy because the guy was so peculiar. I think the breaking point occured when I was having trouble with a lump growing near my nipple, he said it was normal but suggested I pull my trousers down, I told him no and became angry - is this normal behavior, can I sue the guy?

Twenty years from what i understand is beyond the statute of limitations the only thing you can probably do is file a complaint with the medical board.  I am totally not sure on this tho.

There is a statue of limitations. How long ago was this?
Its not always that easy to just sue someone so you want to make sure that you know what you're getting into.
A mental health professional should not be doing those types of physical examinations especially without another professional present.

Well psychiatrists are medical doctors and they can perform medical exams. It has just been my experience that in every and any medical exam I have ever taken, no one has ever checked my testicles with pins, this just seems so utterly weird, but maybe there is some justification for it. I would like to think that the procedure was somehow normal, but I personally felt strange. Is the problem me or this dic,

No this doesn't sound right from my experiences. I have never been psychically exam by a psychiatrist for one as mental health professional deal with the brain not your body. but that's only my view u don't know what others think. I am sorry that happened to you.

Good luck with finding the answer
