Please help!

I've recently been getting these spots that look like skin tags but white sometimes red on the top of my inner thighs . when I put a little pressure on them they seem to hurt. I wanted to ask my GP but, he is male and I wouldn't be comfortable to ask for him to look. As I havent been there for that long. I'm just wondering what it is and if I should worry?

Hi,

It does sound a lot like skin tags; inner thighs are one of the most common places for skin tags to appear. To be honest, the best person to diagnose the spots that look like skin tags, would be your GP or health care provider.  They can be removed, once you been examined by a doctor.

Here's my suggestion: if it's possible, you should find another GP that you would be more comfortable with. In my experience, when you are comfortable w/your doctor, you are more likely to seek advice & treatment more often. Maybe you would be more at ease with a female GP?

Good Luck
