Problems ejaculating and getting an erection.

I'm a 13 year old guy and masturbate regularly (1-2 times daily)... This morning I went to go do it and I noticed right from the beginning that it wasn't progressing properly... I wasn't staying hard, it took at least 7 minutes to have an orgasm and when it happened, I immediately lost my erection... Normally it takes roughly 3-4 mins and I stay hard for about 30sec-1min after... I know there is most likely nothing wrong... I also should note that I have a cold and I am using cough medication. Not sure if either of those would make a difference but I figured I should add that. I also tried again about 20 mins ago and the same thing happened. P.S. I would prefer not involving my parents, but if I have to, I will. Thank you so much for reading this... It was very hard to get the courage to ask this.

I guess it must be worrisome if this has never happened to you before, but any guy will tell you that sometimes for whatever reason, erections and ejaculations will vary both in arrival time, speed of release, and quality.  This even sometimes happens when a guy is with a partner, let alone just himself.  Different moods, physical states, distraction levels, emotional statuses and rest levels can all affect every part of our lives, and erections are part of life like everything else.  Sometimes just a random thought on an unpleasant or arresting topic will make an erection go away, and sometimes a random thought will make it arrive even when you don't really want one.  It's not a matter for a doctor or a need to talk to your parents, this happens sometimes, no big deal.

Thanks so much for replying:-) It helped a lot, I was pretty freaked out, lol...
The category of "normal" in human sexuality is very wide.  Most of the time some little difference from usual is just one of many normal things that can happen. You might try going online to Amazon for the book "What's Going On Down There?" or some of the other books like that (the site will make suggestions about similar books) just for general reliable advice about boys' issues growing up.  It probably wouldn't be too embarrassing to ask your parents to buy you one or two of them.

Puberty is an interesting time and can be a bit of a challenge, but generally speaking, growing up is great!  Take care.

Update: I've been reading up on cold medications linking to DE and such problems, and it seems that some people have experienced this problem as well...
