Swollen, Bruised Penis

by texasouchie, Aug 09, 2009 10:42PM
I have swelling and dark bruising along the top of the shaft of my penis. This was after some masturbation with a firm grip on the base of the shaft. It seems to be burst blood vessels. The swelling is going down and the bruising is dark in color. I have no blood in my urine and have no trouble urinating.

Is this something I should call a Dr. about immediately? Watch it for a couple of days?

I've read a bunch online with everything from "permanent vascular damage" to "Take some vitamin E and you'll be fine."

Any suggestions for care in the meantime?

I would see a doctor, just to be safe.  Further, I would stop doing whatever technique you were doing which was restricting blood flow  to the penis while it was erect (tight grip, or tight rings or elastic, etc. ... just not good in general).
