Too much bleeding

by nursestudent74, Jan 06, 2008 10:58AM
I am concerned.  I usually have normal periods.  But last month I had my period on time.  Then the next 2 weeks after I finished, I started to bleed again.  Now at the first of the year, I have another period.  Is it possible to have 2 periods in the same month within two weeks of each other.  Or do I need to get checked out.  Please help!

I don't know what is wrong with you, but it's wrong with me, too. I started my period on time on 12/17. But it lasted twelve days! I got off on the 29th. Then I started lightly bleeding on the 3rd and tomorrow will make 2 weeks that I have been bleeding. It is heavier now though, more like a period instead of light bleeding. I don't know what is wrong, either. But I would like to find out.

Have you have a baby recentally? Are you on BC? I was on a certain kind of Birth control after having my daughter, and i had 2 periods a month, and i switched.
