UTI?

I just got my period on Saturday. I'ver had a nasty yeast infection causing so much irritation that finally went away last week, so I didn't want to use a tampon to avoid more irritation. So I used pads on Sat and Sun and changed them about every 3-4 hours as reccommended, however I now feel like I have a UTI. Tingling when I pee, peeing often but my bladder is always full b/c I drink a lot of water regularly, so none of that feeling like I have to go then I don't. My belly is VERY full and tender, but then I think I still have my period so its just cramps. Can wearing a pad cause you to get a UTI? I have never really worn pads except for when I first got my period like 10 yrs ago so I really don't remember nething about them. Plus a lot of my friends still only wear pads and they never have ANY issues with them. Can someone help me??

I've been drinking it and it seems to have gone away. Now my period is gone and my vagina is on fire! I had an STD test done about a month ago and its all negative, and I have not switched partners, and to my knowledge he's been faithful. So I'm thinking my yeast infection is back and it hurts SOOOOO BAD. Do a lot of women get yeast infections after their period b/c of the change in pH??
