Unprotected sex then missed 2 pills

by adwb83, Oct 28, 2009 06:14AM
Hi. This last Saturday I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and that evening took my regular birth control pill. On Sunday and Monday evenings I missed the pills (these would be pill 14 and 15). On Tuesday as soon as I realized I had missed Sunday and Monday I took the two missed pills and plan to take two more today to catch up (as some sites / doctors say to do). The pill I take is a lod-dose estrogen pill. Is there a high level risk of pregnancy from the unprotected sex on Saturday? I planned to finish the pack (ending next Sunday) and do the intervval week as normal. Is this correct or do I need to continue directly on to the next pack?

Chances of pregnancy from missing a couple of pills are pretty small.  I know when my girlfriend (now wife!) was on the pill she missed a few, and she never got pregnant.  Not down to any lack of fertility, whenever we have not been using contraception she's always got pregnant right away!

Have your interval week as normal.  If your period comes, you're fine.  In the small chance that it doesn't, take a test.

The chances of missing or skipping a (one ) pill can result in pregnancy, so unless you want to become pregnant, follow the instructions properly and do not miss a single pill.  Judy

also, never open a new pack and start in the middle!  Just wait for your menstruation to come and finish THEN begin a new pack.

DO NOT MISS YOUR PILL.

OR HAVE THE MAN GET THE SPERMATIC CLAMP.

I have heard about it. Ask your doctor though about it.

It is a clamp that is placed on the Spermatic Cord that stops the male from ejaculating.
