I recently lost my virginity (about a month ago) and at the time experienced no vaginal/vulvar pain whatsoever. However, in the past two weeks, I've noticed extreme discomfort upon penetration, and only with penetration. I experience a stinging sensation, which eventually subsides, and after sex I experience some residual pain, however this also subsides completely. I have been treated for yeast infections recently, and have also been screened for bacterial infections/ STD's. All tests have come back negative. It does not hurt at all to insert tampons/fingers/ anything. I'm worried about the possibility of this being vulvar vestibulitis, however I tried the "Q-tip test" and it didn't hurt at all. So essentially the pain is only associated with insertion during sex, and nothing else. Could vaginal tears be causing this, or is it vulvar vestibulitis? I'm becoming quite depressed because I feel I'll never be able to have a non-painful, normal sex life. Please help!
