When men wake up

Why do men wake up erect and ready to go?  When I wake up in the morning, sex is the last thing I am thinking about but my BF always wants a little action.  I don't mind it but it takes me a while to get excited and he doesn't seem to need anything to get in the mood.  Just wake up and ready to go.   He is very considerate and good at it so it's nice.   He is 51 and I'm 48 but we both look younger than our age.  Neither have children so no stress there.  Anyone have any ideas?

Yikes he is a naughty boy, tell him you have a Headache, oldest trick in the book but it works.

He's not much of a corn flakes guy.  He does get up and go to the bathroom and then he comes back to bed, still erect and starts cuddling and it just leads to sex from there.  I really love him and being close to him is wonderful, so no complaints just curious how he can be in the mood w/o much stimuli.  I think it's a cross between the testosterone and the fact that he likes to start his day this way.  He's a very good lover anyway.

Well I am 64 sleep naked and wake up with an erection every morning, I jump out of bed and say to my wife "hi honey I am up", she says "yes I can see that", why do I wake up like that ?, simple, I need to take a pee, as soon as I empty my bladder everything returns to normal, being sexualy active probably helps but having sex first thing in the morning is out, I love my Corn Flakes to much, maybe after a shower things are better for me.

As far as being "erect and ready to go", dantheman1577 has it right.  Reread his post.  It has nothing to do with testosterone.  Beyond that, it helps the mood to wake up in a warm bed next to a warm woman.

I don't sleep naked so it's not that.  I'm not wearing make up, my face is puffy, can barely open my eyes, and my hair is a mess so it's not my most attractive time either :D   I have to believe it's the testosterone theory.  Just the way most men are.  I'm not complaining, just curious.  I like having sex at night b/c I sleep better that way.  Right after Leno's monologue.

I always figured it was a combination of (a) waking up feeling all relaxed with the whole day ahead of you, and (b) waking up next to a naked woman - although I'm sure men get morning wood with or without a woman next to them when they wake up. I like bigproblem's reasoning - it must also have to do with testosterone.

I was always curious about this b/c for me, the mood doesn't come (no pun intended) out of no where but for him, he is just about ready anytime and always in the morning.  He said it's a great way to start the day.  I asked him if he is dreaming about sex and he said no, just likes doing "it". I never knew abt men having more testosterone in the morning but that does make sense.  He is a wonderful lover so it's always nice to be close to him.  Thanks for the comments!

you wake with an erection cos he needs to go to the toilet, his bladder is full.  when he goes to the toilet, it will go away.  sex is always good though in the morning....

yes that is perfectly normal, men have more testosterone in the morning than any other part of their day and so we wake up feeling premiscuous. so yeah thats normal and its that way for LOTS of guys including myself
