big ?

hi doctor my girlfriend is a virgin but she has received genital herpes from oral sex with another man before i came along. She let me know this just the other day. She has had the STD for 3 years and has only received a breakout when she first contracted the disease. I have oral herpes or get cold soars and i am on medication for those and she is on medication for her genital herpes what is the likelyhood of me getting genital herpes from her if we engage in intercourse please help doctor this is a question that has really been urching at me thank you

Contacting genital herpes is very possible even when she's not having a breakout (even the commercial for valtrax says so). However, it is less likely. Be sure to use proctection and avoid contact when she has a breakout. Don't let hormones get the best of you, if you contract this disease, there's no getting rid of it. Just be safe.
And don't listen to  pretygirl07, I've been reading her otehr advice on other questions, she does not sound very educated in this subject what-so-ever. :)
