The vaginal walls become looser with activity and arousal, the flexibility is an amazing thing, but it also adjusts in size to whatever is inside - for example if you use something small, like a finger for awhile, your vagina will adjust to that size, as well as, in time if you take awhile of abstinence it will go back to being "tight". You can also do Kegel exercises, squeezing the vaginal muscles to strengthen it and tighten it.
