Hi thank you very much for your response. I am in doubt with my doctor. she told me that this infection is the cause why i have a green or yellow discharge. but i did not experience any of these. i only have what its like, a pre-menstruation bleeding (light red in color and very light in volume). she gave me a vaginal suppository to be inserted for 7days once a day before bed time.[she even told me that for the first 3 days of medication, i will experience a tingling pain inside; she said this is normal, a sign that the medicine is fighting the infection/bacteria, but i did not feel any discomfort or pain at all]. on the 2nd day of medication, my bleeding/spotting became a regular menstruation. (please note that i just had my menstruation 2weeks before this one). i will be having my follow-up check up on friday, whereas i will be undergoing what the doctor called as gram stain. she said this is to check if the infection is gone. i have 2 concerns in my current situation. to know everything about the infection that has been found in me; and my abnormal menstruation which occurs twice in a row. i heard this is a symptom of something serious like, uterine cancer (im not sure) or something as serious as that...

Hello,
Coccobacilli infection is caused by a  very short bacillus, resembling elongated cocci bacteria. It can be found in bacterial vaginosis which is not contagious but Chlamydia should also be ruled out which is a sexually transmitted disease.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hello, i have Vaginal discharge, My Doctor conducted me a test, the result was..

Polymorphonuclear cells: few
epithelial cells: few
Gram (+) cocci in pairs: moderate
Gram (+) cocobacilli: plenty
Gram (+) bacilli:few

And she prescribed an, vaginal suppository NEO-PENOTRAN FORTE.
