foul odor during sex

I am a very sanitary person, and I always make sure to clean myself really well "down there" every day.  However, whenever I have sex (and only when I have sex) I notice a strong, unpleasant odor.  I can't really describe what it smells like, and there isn't any discomfort along with it except for a decrease in my self confidence.  My partner won't even go down on me any more and it is affecting my sex life, but I don't have any other symptoms of a problem and don't know what this could be or how to fix it...Anyone else ever experience this or have suggestions as to what I can do?  I've talked to my gynecologist and she said it's normal but this really isn't normal and it just started recently.

I have been married for 10years and whe have never had this problem. Lately at times when we have sex there is this foul odore to difficult to describe what it smells like and it is really i huge turn off. When my husband goes down on me there is no smell, but sometimes during sex and after the orgasm it is really bad. We have now experienced this a couple of times, and it is really fustrating. The smell is really to baad to continue with sex. My husband say's he thinks the smell comes from me, i on the other hand thinks it comes from him , he recently started to take muscle building formulas and tablets and not long after that we had our first smelly odour, please if anyone can advise us on what to do to get rid of it.

It could be Bacterial Vaginosis. It is a bacterial infection (Not STD) that usually causes a foul odor especially during and after sex. It requires an antibiotic from a doctor.
