frequent erections and constant masterbation(masturbation)

my fiance is 41 and has frequent erections and masterbates constantly and we also have a heathy sex life.  He is a type 1 diabetic from childhood and is suffering from the reverse affect of ed.  I tell him it should be normal to have this  to maybe age 30 but he is getting upset and worried something is wrong.  i know having diabetes he will get ed.   he masterbates about 4+ times a day and we make love every night both of us want to slow this down but nothing helps we need real answers on what we need to do next.
