I am fifteen years old and have recently started to use tampons, however, it has been difficult to remove them. I did some research and belive that I have a septate hymen. I know that there is a large chance of it braking and if not, causing me pain once I have sex, but, either way, I know that it will require plastique surgery to repair it, but I don't want to tell my momm about, because it's very personnal. What should I do about it?

I am 18 years old and I recently just discovered that I do have a septate hymen. Yesterday my boyfriend was fingering me and when everything was done I was bleeding a lot but I was not bleeding the next day. Im scared because when I looked at my vagina the day after it was really sore and I could barley fit my finger in to check and see if everything is okay. Is this normal?? I’m also embarrassed to tell my parents and to go see my doctor

Treatment for septate hymen is a minor surgery which cuts off this extra layer of tissue that causes the actual problem of placing and removing the tampoons.There could be pain due to rupture of this septate hymen.So meet your personal doc and be sure to get the required examination done to confirm if you really have a sepatate hymen or not.Self observation and poor technique to observe one s own genital may cause pain,excessive bleeding and infections in case of septate hymen.So meet your doctor and feel free to talk about this.

Rupture or breakage of hymen these days seems to be very natural and there is nothing much to be embarrassed about it.It happens in almost all young girls due to physical factors such as running,cycling,exercise,use of tampoons and poor technique to use tampoons and also by masturbation.Pain will be felt during first sexual intercourse as the hymen breaks up due to large blood supply.All these situations are different and so simple to be considered presence of hymen in young girls doesnot needed to be proved if she is virgin or not.Only sexual involvement out of bounds or pre marital sexual affairs are to be get embarrassed about.
Men these days actually dont consider presence of hymen to prove one s virginity and most of the men dont know what this hymen looks like.Understanding sexual partner and trust and belief is very much needed in maintaining a committed relationship.Feel free to talk to your sexual partner about this when the time comes.There is nothing much to be private about such matters,talk to your mother about this if you really havent involved in any sexual affairs till now.So dont worry.
