itchy scrotum

by Bob888, Jul 05, 2009 06:04PM
June 20,2009 is when the bottom of my left testicle began itching, since then my entire scrotum, and left inner thigh have an occasional itch. I dont have any rashes and no skin discoloration so I figured it was just jock itch, and began using lamisil on it, however, majorily my scrotum still itches, and whenever i spray on the lamisil it burns intensely. Even warm baths cause it too be more irritated. I need some advice.

Jock itch can take several weeks to clear up, but the itching might be caused by any number of things: an allergic reaction, dermatitis, a yeast infection, etc. If the lamisil is not working and/or your symptoms are getting worse, you should see your primary doctor or a  dermatologist for an appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
