married for 3 months and still a virgin

by hoping100, Jul 17, 2008 09:48PM
I've been married for 3 months and I'm still a virgin. My husband and I are both in our early 30s and both virgins. My husband and I are unable to have sex. When it comes to that point, my muscles tighten up and I don’t allow him to enter. It hurts. If anyone else had similar issues, would they please be willing to give us pointers as to how they solved this problem. Also any professional suggestions/help would be highly appreciated.

You inability to have sex can be caused by a few things.
1. Abnormally thick hymen- The hymen (thin tissue that protects your vagina, and why bleeding occurs during the first penetration), has any different shapes and sizes...and they all look different. Sometimes, the hymen is abnormally thick. This can cause painful intercourse and the unwillingness to have sex. A gynecologist can surgercially break the hymen for you to fix the problem.
2. Vaginismus- it is a psycological disorder that causes the fear of penetration. It will take time to get by it, therapy may help, but you just have to trust your husband.

Go to a gynecologist. They can tell you whether it is psycological or physical.
