sore penis

Hello Doctor,

Since last Dec I have suffered from a very sore red penis.It started with a red patch which was very sore,and worse when I went a pea.I saw my doc who said I might have Balantis.I used the Canestan Cream for two weeks,no chande.During this period I developed a urine infection.For over two months I was perscribed various creams and drugs.The urine infection has gone,but I still have the sore penis.

I was sent to my local sexual health clinic.Every test they did came back negative.I used the creams they supplied,nothing helped.

I wash my penis everyday when I have a bath,and use Aqueous cream.

My symptoms are,very pale red patch,sore unside of penis all around the glands,constant soreness felt when walking and when urine is on the penis.Feels like the penis is buring.

I have got to go back to my SHC in 3 weeks for a check up.

Can you offer any help please.

I appreciate your comments,and it is very uncomfortable.

I have an appointment next week at the GUM clinic.I will hopefully be seeing a skin expert then.I'm sure I can cope with the discomfort until then.

I will add,I have noticed when I pee and its clear,there is only very mild pain.When the urine is yellow ,the soreness on the glands is very painful.

I would seek out a skin doctor right away and get an evaluation of what that might be. You are doing the right thing by getting medical help. I not sure if any one here can give you the answers you are looking for. It sound very uncomfortable.

Hello.

I have just re-read my question I hastily posted last night.Apart from the typing errors,It sounds a little un-informative compared to other questions.

If you don't mind,I will try to elaborate.....

It started a few weeks before Xmas.I had a very red painfull patch on the head/glands of the penis.It was very sore,and became painful when incontact with urine.

My doctor perscribed Canesten cream,she thought it was Balantis.Used the cream,but still the soreness was present.

By the time I went back to the Doctors,the soreness had  spread to the area of the glands by the Frenulum.Still very sore.

At this point I had developed a urine infection.

The doctor sent off a urine sample, and swab,this came back negative.Was perscribed a Canesten Due tablet and Thrush cream.This did not help.I was aslo tested for diabetes,this was negative.

The next visit I was perscribed Hydrocortisone.Like the rest of the creams,it made the condition worse.This visit I was given antibiotics,this cleared up the urine infection.

A week after this I saw a health advisor at  my local sexual health clinic(GUM).They did the usual tests for all sexual related diseases.The results were all negative.

Fo the soreness/redness thay gave me 3 different creams to use,Daktacort,Trimovate and Fucidin.None helped.

Currently I am taken Terbinafine tablets to help with the soreness.So far,no help at all.

So,I still have the pale redness on the glands.It is sore all of the time,made worse when in contact with urine.The pain I experience after peeing is like the glands are cold.

I wash every day with  Aqueous cream given to me at the GUM clinic.Washing everyday, there is no Smegma to cause any irritation.

I have a appointment in a few weeks at the GUM clinic.They said at the previous visit,if I still have the problem they will ask one of their skin experts to have a look.

So can anyone offer any advice please.I'm aware this forum is for patient-to-patient help.If anyone has suffered with similar symptoms like me,I would appreciate any advice you can offer.
