sperm donors

Hey, well I am 25, and i want a baby so bad, i feel this is the time for me, only thing is, i dont have a boyfriend, all the guys ive been with, are not interested in babies, settling down etc!
so i wanted to know if sperm donors are safe?
I also would rather this to be done in a clinic via insemination!
So has anyone, any info about this all please, i would appreciate it..
