tear in skin of penis!!!

by yungstar, Oct 06, 2008 03:08PM
i have an uncircumsized penis and jus recently i have had sex and i felt a burn or a hurting feeling after it was over. Then i checked myself and there was a tear where the bottom of the head of the penis little skin attachment connects to the botom head of the penis!!! i washed it si no infections would occur. But jus recently i had sex again and it started to bleed alot! do i jus keep cleaning it and let it repair the skin itself or do i need medical treatment??? i am holding out on sex for about just now for 2-3 wks!!

dont worry happens alot  for guys. that bit of skin is called the frenulum and it tore because you dint uce enough lubricant and went at it like a bull at a gate. slow down. it will heal no doc visit neccesary just keep it clean so it  doesnt get infected.

can this situation cause an STD ?

I had exactly the same experience you have had.  I kept it clean and it healed with no problem.  I do understand that occasionally scar tissue builds up and requires surgery but that situation is very rare.

To CONFO:  The torn foreskin is a site for infection if exposed to bacteria or viruses just like a cut on your hand.  So if one has unprotected sex with a partner who has an STD the area where the foreskin is torn is likely to become infected.
