vaginal discharge

Since I started becoming sexually active, I have worried about how my area smells when we have sex. I began doucheing with water in my baths. since then, I have been experiencing this cream colored discharge that is sometimes lumpy. Me and my boyfriend have sex almost every weekend so I havent tried not doucheing to see if the discharge would stop. I cant stop because I dont want him to get the discharge on him and think I am diseased. Is there any kind of medications that I can take to clear it up? Or should I go get checked for stds?

More than likely you have an infection, especially when clumps are coming out.

You will probably need a treatment which means you have to see a specialist.  You and your boyfriend are more than likely passing the infection back and forth to one another.

When you another person have sex protected or unpretected has its own odor(that doesnt' mean stink) and that odor changes with different partners.  Your sex won't smell the same with anyone but you should learn your natural scent.  To do that you must first get a doctor and get yourself treated, follow all directions given to you by your doctor.  Depending on what it is your bf may have to also get treated.  It is much better to take care of it before it becomes a bigger problem.  Take care of yourself and protect yourself.

Ask him if it bugs him. Because I'm very shy about my smell too, but every female smells at least a little. When 'wet' I can smell stronger. Try showering every day, but don't douche. It's exactly as fission said.

Douching disturbs the natural balance of the vagina. It is a self cleaning mechanism and rarely needs assistance getting things out that don't belong. Vaginal discharge is normal in a healthy vagina and very much needed. If you are unhealthy in that area, the vagina will let you know through strong, pugnent smells to having an intense itch or burning to yellow/green/milky/or lumpy discharge. If the lumpy discharge is accompanied by an itch or irritability than you very well MAY have a yeast infection. The best thing to do is see your doctor who can check you and rule out any infections.

For the time being, you should stop having sex with your boyfriend until you can speak to your doc. I would also talk to her about your concerns regarding the smell of your vagina. Again, when it is normal and undisturbed, we have discharge and our vaginas have a distinct smell that can sometimes be mistaken for a bad thing. It isn't. In all actuality, it is like an aphrodisiac to men--especially when we are aroused.

Best of luck!

You should have been wearing a condom if both you guys have been sexually active before and even now.  As for the smell, unless it is overbearing, he is not going to care about a little smell as long as you are putting out.
