y do i have bumps wen i shave my pubic hair

hello, it worries me a lot to know that when ever i shave my pubic hair, i have this bumps, and sometymes they bring pulse. i dont know y.
pls i need your advice. thanks

The answer is 'ingrowing' pubic hair.

When you shave hair (it doesnt always have to be pubic hair) the hair has to break back through the skin - sometimes it comes through clean, but a lot of the time the hair does not grow back straight and instead pushes through other parts of the skin to find the surface. (I get this a lot when I shave my face with a razor) and this can cause a red bump which as you correctly stated, can sometimes produce puss if squeezed.

My advice to you is that if you are going to choose to remove your pubic hair with a razor - ensure that it is sharp, you are using plently of shaving gel and you moisturise the area before AND after you have shaved.

Try not to shave 'against the grain' of the hair, shave 'with' the hair - this should not cause any irritation.

I would also suggest you use warm water when shaving.
