Can't reach orgasm during masturbation (male)

by ericthornton, May 31, 2009 01:15PM
Hi, I'm an 18 year old uncircumcised male. My foreskin has always been tight until a few weeks after I started masturbating a couple of months ago, and I can now pull it back past my glans. A couple of times after I masturbated and pulled my foreskin back past my glans, it didn't return to fully cover the glans after I has finished. It stayed like this for 2- 3 days, during which my glans was very sensitive to friciton etc as it had never been exposed before. The problem is, a couple of weeks after my foreskin became less tight and my glans exposed, I cannot reach the intense pleasure of orgasm when I masturbate. I still ejaculate and get an erection etc. Any ideas of why this could be? Thanks, Eric.

Hi.

It sounds to me like you may have a different expectation of how orgasm feels now. You're getting older, and you will experience orgasmic sensations differently at different ages.

It's fairly common for uncircumcised men to have the experience you did, in which once you begin self-pleasuring and experiencing lots of erections, the foreskin begins to loosen and retract. It's possible that once the glans was exposed for a longer period of time, the head of your penis became a bit less sensitive. This is to be expected. Things change. It's inevitable in life.

I'd say rather than worrying about this change, why not go with it and enjoy whatever new sensations come up? There isn't anything physically wrong with you. In fact, you may find that once you stop worrying, you'll enjoy orgasms just as much as you did before. Dr. J

You know, I think I'm having the same problem. It does feel less comfortable then it used to. But to be honest, once I reach orgasm it doesn't hurt anymore and it's good from there.

As for it not feeling as good, I thought it could simply be that, like everything in life, nothing is as fun as the first few times you do it.
