Hello.

Please stop doing this immediately. The fact that you haven't gotten pregnant so far is just dumb luck. Your research is incorrect.

Many sources that discuss the ineffectiveness of withdrawal argue that pre-ejaculate can contain sperm. This is because previous ejaculations can leave some sperm behind in the folds of the penis. All it takes is ONE sperm for pregnancy to occur. That's right: ONE sperm among millions that were ejaculated.

The short answer is that you can’t trust the circumstances, so you have to take control and assure safety by using effective risk reduction to reduce your risk of both pregnancy and disease or infection.

If you're old enough to be sexual with a partner, you're old enough to take responsibility. That means using effective risk reduction. Remember that with great sex comes great responsibility. Your local Planned Parenthood or teen clinic has low-cost or free, confidential contraceptive/risk reduction services. Go now and figure out what method works best for you before it's too late. Best of luck to you. Dr. J
