Taking birth control pills continuoulsy

I am taking a triphasic birth control and would like to try taking it continuously to avoid having a period. I would like to stay on the medicine I am taking, Trinessa, but would like some help in determining whether or not it is okay to take the medicine continuously. Thank you.

I take birth control pills continuously in an attempt to cut down on migraine headaches.  Originally, I was on Yasmin, which my GP suggested I keep on taking, even for continuous use, but when I next visited the GYN, he thought Seasonale, which is designed for this use, would be a better choice, so now I'm using that.  Switching to a new pill is always a little bit of an ordeal, isn't it?  I was happy on the Yasmin, and this new one is okay too, I guess, but that transitional stage is a bit of a bummer as the body adjusts to a new preperation. Sometimes, I don't think our doctors realize just how sensitive we can be to these shifts.  Anyway, I've just had my first period in awhile, and it was fine--even kind of a relief.  If it weren't for the migraine's, I'd definitely opt to go with a monthly period.  It isn't that much of a hassle, doesn't interfere with sex at all (at least for me--I know women's tastes differ on this score), and feels more normal, somehow.  The headaches are a bummer, but I love the feeling of well-being I tend to experience when a period actually arrives.  In any case, the continuous pill does seem to help with the migraines, though it hasn't eliminated them entirely.  Fortunately, I'm getting fairly ancient, now, so soon I probably won't be needing any sort of bc at all.  Anyway, do talk with your doc and see what she has to say.  Seems to be an increasingly common choice.

You have to hev so many periods still even with taking bcp.Your doctor usally wants you have at least 4 a year.Thats not so bad.Talk your doctor about this request.
